I remember the day I went open source. I remember it vividly and clearly almost as if it was yesterday. My epic quest for open source freedom took place when I stumbled upon a program called OpenOffice.
I clicked it.
I downloaded it.
I installed it.
When I began using it I knew there was no going back. I was hooked on open source.
The journey was not easy, I faced many hardships and battles on my quest.
The evil ogre, commonly known as Google, captured me for a short time. It used it's minions Android and Play Store to seduce me and forced me to use the evil Gmail. However I was not easily broken. I was able to root the Android and delete evil apps bloating the device, like Facebook, Hangouts, and the disgusting MAPS.
Even after all this progress I was still held back by one thing, WINDOWS. It had me in it's slimy grasp. Then one day I found my freedom, on Blueberry Hill. Linux saved me, it offereded my freedom.
I took it.
When I first booted up Linux Mint it was like a breath of fresh air, it was LIBERATING.
For the first time in forever I was free. To this day I still continue my journey, to infinity and beyond.
