Have you tried different video plugins? Try using Peops Soft Driver.

I already mentioned in another thread to use software mostly

But if you after the perfect emulator ePSXe is not it but it is the most advance for more modern 3D effect using OpenGL ect you are really wanting Xbera accurate emulation of the good olde PSX

    Google Translated Xbera Homepage

Downloads are at the last entry on that page so scroll down there

    1. can't say I have had the issue.
    2. honestly it's a loading screen, why care.

Not that either of those games are even mentioned in the opening post.

I don't even know why you bother and just use your PS1 chipped (fine tune that laser) or even emulate PSX on your Xbox or even PSP for the none analog games

There are even 2 ways to play on your PS2 either via disc or via USB/HDD/Network using the official PSX emulator/3rd party emulator (not that different from PSP eboots, you might even be able to burn those to DVD I never did test that out)

P.S. make sure your disc image do match the info at http://redump.org/disc/6730/

Yeah don't see what the big deal is since its a loading screen but that being said try changing off screen drawing and don't use savestates when testing as it will also save the settings.
