I found FFVII somewhat overrated. Got bored near the end of Disc 1, decided to quit for some time.
Then picked it up again after a month and finished it in mere three weeks.
After Disc 2 everything become a cakewalk, because I bred Golden Chocobo and got all cave materia.
"Mighty" Sephiroth died so quickly, and I even didn't grind.
The minigames were the real downside, ecspecially the parade one.
VII is a really good JRPG, but definitely not the best one ever. Not among other FF's that I played, too. Maybe it's just me, who knows.
I heard from basically everyone that it is the best one, a masterpiece, must play, so I had big expectations for it...and got somewhat dissapointed with the end result.
Sorry, VII, but you're not the best for me. I have yet to experience other FF's(VIII, IX, X, XII, XIII and some spin-offs).
P.S. Was I hearing things, or "Sephiroth's Theme" is an arrange of Bahamut's theme from FFV?
P.P.S. I hoped, I soooo hoped that Crisis Core will not have those minigames...but it has.
Got stealth one shortly after meeting Cloud.
I think it possible to fail it and move on, but my damned pride won't allow me. *sigh*

I'm just waiting for the "Lol FF7 overrated" post, although that seems to have died down a bit.
Nice to hear you're enjoying it so much. It's a very good game, indeed.
EDIT: Note, Net Spectre, nothing against you - you actually qualify your opinion with valid statements, and aren't just going off on one because it's popular.![]()
No one on eBay seems interested in my old GTX560.![]()

Also FF7 may not be a masterpiece but it's a competent enough game and I enjoyed quite a bit.
It's easy to appreciate it when you play shit like Type-0.
No, I will never shut up about how disappointing that game is.
*Chie squints* even the dark is too bright for waking up this early.
