Plenty of places you can get a job like that. Just gotta be willing to relocate to where the jobs are. In comparison to a lot of work you can get in the oilsands out in Alberta, I'm being paid chump change.

You do. Although since it's under the table, you'd probably be better off not doing so.

Unless you really hate your boss. Which you might start doing long-term. Under the table pay typically tends to benefit the employer far more than the employee, unless you're trying to game the system (draw unemployment/worker's comp/etc).

But you're a minor and probably have none of that stuff going on.

There's basically nothing in this for you.

Amazingly. 3 day weekends are the best. Especially when they don't get in the way of pulling a 40 hour work week.

Also, t-minus 2 weeks before Prude moves back.

    Gonna get me some.

Stop selling yourself short or settling for terrible jobs and you might have things work out better.

Just be prepared to have loads of guns and/or knives shoved in your face.

And when you're done being robbed, expect to pay double for basic necessities since the oil companies own everything. It's like living in some sort of dystopian future.

If you work it out, she gets a little over one day's worth of work per month.

Not really all that bad. It would have been worse if I had married her.

I applied to tons of jobs, never heard back from most. This is the only one that called me and I just wanted to work so I can earn some money to save up for a while. I would like to get a better job, but this is a 3 month gig, so I might as well ride it out for a while. Maybe get a few of the more reliable place in the mall to become familiar with my face and get a better one that is legitimate. I would like a better paying job though, and one that is far less boring.

My first job paid $3.35/hour, which was minimum wage at the time.

    $134 a week before taxes

I would laugh, but it reminds me a bit of my uncle's stories about his first job.

I always represented myself in court too. When you remove the lawyer, you save a ton of cash.

It's ridiculous to think about now, but at the time that was pretty normal.
    Around here, anyway.

    Noted, stay single forever.

    Cutting off my ring finger.

If anyone asks, I've joined the assassins.

At one point they had a sign declaring as much.

The bad eggs are a combination of the people from here and the people from there that have a great ability of spreading their bullshit behaviour on idiots.

Most of the shoplifters I catch are tradespeople who moved out west, blew their absurdly high paycheques on drugs, then came home with no money left to support their crippling habit or living expenses during the "down time" between shifts.

    Surprise surprise, they start stealing.

Provided they don't OD and die. Some idiot tried to split like about a kilo of coke with his girlfriend a few weeks back.

They made it about halfway through before the heart attacks hit.
