In other news, I bought myself a Zelda WiiU bundle a week ago. Through work, no-tax and 10% off. Buying launch consoles is for idiots
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

    Miscrosoft never disappoints!

Seeing the problems the X360 had, getting a Xbone on launch is either for brave or for foolish people

How much did it end up costing? The cheapest Zelda bundle I've seen is £239 at Tesco. I was tempted by the Mario and Luigi premium pack for £249.

I find it incredibly disappointing that Xbox.com doesn't show people's Xbox One achievements, the only way to view them so far is through an Xbox One or Xbox One SmartGlass. Lame, I say!

Total was $266.63CAD (tax is normally 12%, but I paid nothing). So about $70 off the normal total price. In GBP Xe.com says that's £156, but our regular total would be £197. Europe gets waaayyy to much markup...

I think I'd have a brain aneurism if they wanted to charge us 20%...

Default Users With Malfunctioning Xbox Ones Compensated With Free Game

Microsoft is offering a free first-party game to some Xbox One users affected by hardware problems. Microsoft said in a statement, "While a replacement console is on its way, we want to ensure our advance exchange customers can stay in the game. We will provide each of them with a free digital download of one of the launch titles published by Microsoft Studios."

A digital copy of the selectable games -- you'd receive one copy of Forza Motorsport 5, Dead Rising 3, Ryse: Son of Rome, or Zoo Tycoon -- will still play on a machine with a malfunctioning disc drive, of course. In addition, Microsoft is replacing hardware at a faster rate than usual with its advance exchange program; Microsoft is sending replacement units before users mail out their faulty machines for repair.
