no, reproducing some cartridges. The NES uses a billion (sarcasm) different Memory Mapping Control schemes and some have been reproduced based on demand. I have begun reproducing a few Sega Genesis Cartridges just because they were so very unique in the methods that they used in saving data.

    Here they are:

I am currently speaking with a gentleman who might send me a copy of MIDINES so that I may reverse engineer the thing and begin an open source production of them. MIDINES was invented by "wayfar" and basically the guy made an incredible synth for the NES console. He then fell off the face of the earth, but continued to take orders. ORders which were never filled or refunded. It has been several years now and this guy needs to pay and I will make him do so.

I love when you link me to your site because I get to see all the chips and stuff that I know nothing about. Does it get a lot of traffic? I feel like I'm the only guy who doesn't understand that stuff.

I have over 2100 views....so not a lot. I have probably copied and pasted the link 2100 times now!
You don't so much have to understand what you're looking at as much as you should appreciate what I have done. (I have never sounded more smug, sorry, not what I meant)

What I meant to say was with those pictures and diagrams, we need not destroy official cartridges to make new games or reproduce rare games. I am working on making these items renewable if anything.

Oh no, I totally appreciate what you do. I think it's way awesome that you can do something like that. Even more so since I learned recently that in a few years a lot of my old favorites will have degraded to trash. Oh roms, you were so young and innocent.

If anything, I walked away learning a bit of something. Oh yeah, I seen two diagrams, one looks like a power diagram ( can that also be used for logic? asking because I've have yet to come across one that uses logic highs and lows like power.) and the one more familiar the logic gates with NAND and all that jazz. You'd think it be easier to make the IC do all the work of logic gates or is that just an idea in the wind? I'm assuming it will be just one IC if that was the case.

What IC? These are run-of-the-mill parallel EPROMs which can do nothing besides read and write data. The glue logic is required to map out where each section of data is stored in respect to the CPU. I can design a single CPLD to function as all of the logic, but that is something I am not yet ready for. I am in the market for a good CPLD/FPGA textbook if you know of one.

All of the diagrams I put into my post were for logic, however some may not be clear because of how the ICs are drawn. I suspect that the power diagram you mentioned is the 74125 IC which is a quad three-state buffer. It basically says when data may pass through and when it may not. It does not manipulate the data in any way.

And the last photo may also be confusing because it contains a custom "Acclaim" IC. This IC functions as many things including glue logic, serial-to-parallel data processor, etc. It is basically the same as the board above it, but just in one IC.

I thought tea was nasty because the only two I've drank before today is Sweet and some peppermint/spearmint shit. Both I thought were disgusting.

Last night I tried Chai, made it wrong. This mourning I made it even correctly, and I thought it tasted amazingly.
