Okay, I'm not one to ask about Shemps, but the description fits R-Type. I think the ship might resemble Gradius, though.
I know a few shmups used the satellite shield thingy, so googling "games like R-Type" or something of the sort might help.

from 7:14 he get power up for his satellites and he shoot phoenix maybe thats what i remembered
