Finished GTA5 - I thought it was pretty damn good, although I didn't get into it quite as much as I thought I would. I feel like in this day in age since almost every "big" game is now more or less sandbox oriented, or has an open world structure, GTA's impact is lessened a bit even though it's by far the best of the best. The heists were a bit of a letdown as well - as much attention as they got during the pre-release trailer I was really disappointed to find out there were only like 4 heists and basically only had 2 ways of doing them. The payouts were garbage as well... I enjoyed having 3 protagonists, but sometimes I felt like the story was a bit out of order and at times it seemed really disjointed. Also, it had a fairly luke-warm ending, but oh well. Gameplay was tight, the graphics were beautiful and there is truly a ton of things to do. I'd give it a solid 8.5/10.
I tried the online and I really don't care for it much at all. It has some neat ideas but poor execution for some of the game modes. I won't be coming back to it anytime soon, so for now I'm done with GTA![]()
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
I'm done with this series. So f'ing bored with it now.
Metro 2033
Bought Last Light for PS3 on a whim last week and decided to beat the first one before playing it. It was fun, but I was too stupid to get the storyline. Reading up on the Dark Ones and finally connecting the dots lead to a pretty great Aha moment for me! Vaguely interested in the books now but I kinda hate reading books so we'll see...
Finished my first playthrough of FF Type-0 yesterday. Even though it was difficult to get into and had a plethora of problems especially in the character department, I have to admit that it grew on me over time. The gameplay was really challenging and the story grimdark with named characters dying left and right. I really liked how it portrayed the cruelty of war and did not back off from depicting maimed corpses, bleeding wounds and such. It is undoubtedly bloodier, gorier and darker than most FF titles and probably the saddest ending in the franchise.
But so much potential wasted because they tried to cram too much into a 30 hour game with loads and loads of characters and stupid RTS elements. And I had to read up the reason for what happend to Class Zero at the end
Spoiler warning:
Oh, and there is even a story-related reason for the characters' flat personalities.
Now I hope that the additional cutscenes in 2nd playthrough can redeem that part of game.

You are far more lenient than I am.![]()
Honestly couldn't stand all the group crying in the final scene. If you're gonna die, go out like a man (like Reddas did in FFXII) or at the very least have more dignity about it. I know it's still a horrible event and it might seem like I'm nitpicking but the scene just completely missed the mark for me.
The Godfather II.
