Unhappy Help with PSP Emulator and ROMS

Im new to playing PSP and PSX Emulators. I downloaded JPCSP last night for my Mac and a couple of ROMS, but I can't get them to work on the Jpcsp. I downloaded FF Crisis Core and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. After downloading, both come as RAR files. I use unarchiver to unzip them, but they have 20 files of more zipped files. Am I missing something here?
I have tried everything I know, and can't get them to run. Also need help with how to load games onto JPCSP.
    thanks in advance!

It's a second zip in split parts this time. Just extract the first one and it will automatically combine and continue to extract all of them into one file. You should probably use 7zip for it here

    http://www.7-zip.org/download.html

just scroll down a tad they do have a Mac version.

i just downloaded ez7z, but won't allow me to unzip the files. Additional suggestions?

the first file is a .nfo
    second is .r00
then it goes from 01 to .r52
then is a .rar file and a .sfv file

I tried unzipping the first number file with the program suggested, but has error message. Also tried with stuffit expander.

Huh that's poopy. A very rare while 7zip won't work with rars depending on compression settings I think. Try getting winrar itself for Mac. Found a link here

In that particular split archive, the .rar file is the file you extract from (it is the first file).

When dealing with split archives, try using 7zip (or equivalent for your OS) first, then try using winrar or whatever.
The .sfv file is used to check for corrupt parts (used with QuickSFV ).

    Also: please don't double post.

    Edit: thread moved.

Tried it with both 7zip, stuffit expander, and anchiver. Also tried doing it to both Crisis Core and Beyond Birth. I think that I must be either missing something, or doing the steps out of order, as it isn't working on both ROMS. I downloaded them directly from emu paradise. When I download the files, they are RAR files approx 1.2 GB each.
Im using stuffit expander to expand the RAR file into a new folder, which results in approx. 100 files that the majority are RAR files, an .nfo file (is the first file in the list and says its and exec file), and a .sfx file (also says its a exec file).
What is the next step I need to take to get it to a file that can be played with JPCSP?
    Thanks in advance!

Can you post a screenshot possibly with the file extensions showing? I don't know why it's not working. Did you try the Mac version of winrar?

If all else fails I'll download them tomorrow and reupload it uncompressed.

The .nfo file is just information about the release (probably scene release I guess).
I have used DAMN NFO Viewer to read those...but you probably don't need to look at it.

Did you read my previous post?

the .rar file maybe the first compression if he chose to extract within the same folder

Edit: don't know what you did there but it didn't work

It won't let me put in the screen shot. says to refresh and login again.
So i will go through that other steps that I am taking:
I I select the first RAR file, and decompress it, it get the filename with an .iso extension that is about an archive type file

    I hate Macs
Looking at his post, I assume that is the list of files he is seeing.
Easy way to tell is is the .rar file is the same size as all the 01 to .r51 (52 would be smaller because it is the end of the set).
If it is part of the set then it is first file (the one you extract from).

Indeed. Some form of linux would probably be less of a headache

Use the "Go Advanced" option for making a post and add it as an attachment.

You got the .iso? You've got the game.
