Christ I'm bored. I'm tempted to finish off NFS but I reckon it'll take ages because I need to find 1 more billboard and 1 security gate to crash through. I spent half an hour looking today with no luck (did find 2 security gates which bought me to 1 more to find)

Ya know I copied the line copy yesterday and was gonna make the boobs super huge for ya but my comp crashed

Yeah but as much as I hate to admit it the materia system in 7(loved 7 by the way) was the beginning of the end for final fantasies

The materia sysem took away character specific classes such as thief warrior etc.(I know the jobs system also did this but in a better way.) and gave them to everyone.

For example tell me who the best mage character was in Final fantasy 7 who was the best thief or pure fighter for that matter
Compare this to 9 ask your selves the same questions above except for about 9
now I know everyone is going to have their own opinions for example I like using Areis/Areith as my mage beginning game
because she seems frail and better suited to the role.

the point is you can give any magic or ability to anyone in 7 basically meaning you just pick characters you want and not really making you get to know any of the characters better or develop a lasting impression of them (other than aeris because of the death scene.)

There's a tiny difference in starting stats and what they get when leveling up though (for example Yuffie will always be fast) but granted it doesn't really mean much in the end

There are tricks for Ruby though - can't remember what they are though. But there's really no point fighting it anyways other than saying hey look I beat Ruby weapon, did it once myself and I'll never bother again. All you get is a gold chocobo and I've always had one bred by then.
