OK, I was having this talk with a co-worker and we got on the topic of Diablo III.
He said it was a lame game that reminded him of Gauntlet Legends for the N64. I laughed, then I kinda was in agreement with this statement, no matter how wrong it was. *must've been nostalgia*
Was I wrong for agreeing with him?
"I am... Sheik. One of the last of the Sheikah tribe..."

The 2008 one was pretty cool. By no means an amazing game, but it had solid platforming and an interesting story. The only place it was really lacking was with the enemies, and reusing the same bosses over and over.
I love the ending to that game, though. However, I'm playing Warrior Within. My least favourite in the series. Just trying to clear out some old unfinished games so that I can move some game cases into the "completed" pile.
Sure, it wasn't bad. I just would've preferred if it had any actual gameplay, wasn't a fan of the "can't die no matter what" mechanic. I don't think I ever saw the real ending. Mostly because we never got it on PC. Gotta love console exclusive DLC.
Interestingly enough I liked Warrior Within, kinda have a soft spot for it in fact. The dark and edgy-ness didn't bother me that much, I enjoyed it for what it was. And that one plot twist with the Sandwraith was pretty cool, and the Dahaka bits were also good shit.

I don't mind Warrior Within, but it's too combat heavy for me. I would prefer more puzzles and fewer two button combos.
I don't think I ever grabbed the DLC for 2008. I should get around to that... I actually really did enjoy the game. I think it helps that I grabbed it for $8.
They fixed the DSL problem. Not sure what it was since I was at work, but the modem is picking up a DSL signal now. I might take this opportunity to rid myself of the rats nest of wires back there, since the only wired connections I have now are the desktop and OnLive, which I rarely play anymore (and if I do, it's on the PC).
