Actually we pre ordered it just about an hour ago.

Sony are claiming they don't have a preorder issue atm, but they're admitting they have a staggering amount.
Likely preorders will stop in a lot of places soon. I think someone mentioned (elsewhere) that gamestop was ending preorders (dunno if it was just the UK or maybe it was the US, idk).

I think it was in the US, but we got ours pre-ordered at the local Wal Mart.

If I have a job by then I'm gonna have to buy my girlfriend one, she needs a PS3 and not a 360...

Base model was cheap at end of last financial year sales, should be the same price again (or maybe a tad cheaper) after Christmas.
If I get one I'll get a 1TB HDD too...actually I might get that first 'cos a local dude has some that are compatible.

I live in Conroe, Texas and I can say that my Gamestop ended preorders last month. He told me when Kayti and I preordered our PS4 that we got there just in time.
