It's more like 15 hours. Despite its obvious flaws (dialogue not really affecting anything in the end, barely any exploration, no sidequests, etc.), I'm having a decent amount of fun with it. It's definitely a good purchase for its current price, plus it was made in like a year, on a budget, and this is just the first of many campaigns.
Even if some of the complaints are totally valid, I don't get all the nerdrage that's being thrown at this game.
Armored Core V.
I've not quite finished it yet, but I actually restarted the game after I made it through the Brotherhood mission. I like it a lot, and like you, I can't understand all the rage either. Once people start rolling out their own campaigns, this game is going to get ridiculous. All the tools are at a users disposal, and since this is basically a DM/Compendium guide, everything is here for people to craft some really great experiences.
That's exactly where I am, too. Just cleared all the bugs (seriously wtf was that) in the Brotherhood and getting ready for the next run. Why'd you restart, btw?
Also, from what I can tell people are already busy making campaigns: http://www.shadowrunidentity.org/Life_on_a_Limb.php
Well, I restarted because I took a side job (you have to get in and rescue some dude) and basically had NO money to hire any Runners.... so I got my ass kicked. There were Basilisks in the level, and they paralyze your ass while the Trolls and Orks tear you up with shotguns.
So anyway, it was a combination of being broke, making some bad choices on character development (I was a Decker, but trying a little bit of EVERYTHING else), and there were some things I wanted to do such as hack some other computers, and I wanted to retry the Brotherhood mission with a non-lethal approach. So yeah, I restarted as a pure Decker and started using combat drones and only hire one Runner with the exception of a few free people you get, and I just cleared the Brotherhood level and have 19k in the bank![]()
