I remember I desperately wanted one when they first came out, but I was a kid back then and couldn't afford it. I've gotten my hands on one only recently.

btw Do you know how much is RE code veronica different between the dreamcast and PS2 versions? I am sorta confused as the PS2 version has an extremely low score on GameRankings while the Dreamcast one is a top tier game there. Did they fuck up the port job or is it just passing of time?

I don't like Akiba very much either. :'D Of course I was never hugely into anime / manga culture fandom anyway, so it's probably not for people like me. But it tires me out just being there for a little while. I met up with someone I know online from America the last time I was in Tokyo who, without trying to be mean, is a complete and utter otaku, and she wanted me to take her to Akiba. We spent like five hours there. ._. Not really my idea of fun.

I'd go there, and I won't feel I'm putting my dignity in jeopardy by doing so. Partly because I have no dignity, and partly because I don't care what people say and all.

But in all seriousness I can never afford going there. At least not for the next 10-15 years. Things will change until then.

On a vaguely related note, I met a Japanese girl the other day who was just ridiculously cute. Like... oh my god, I have never met anyone even half as cute as this girl was. Especially her voice. It was an exercise of extreme self restraint not to burst into tears from sheer cute everytime she spoke and gush about how I wanted us to be best friends, and spend every day baking cookies and having tea parties. :'D
