I'm hopefully getting Phantasy Star Portable 2 later today.

I currently have 211 boxed/complete games. I can verify this statement.

When I first got back into collecting, I was only going to get them whenever I found a good deal. Now I actively look for them, and barely even pay attention to cart only games.

Yeah I never got into CIB NES collecting but I figure it's like everything else. Except for...you know...more expensive on the high end. Though anime does have a really dumb high end. I'm not sure where CIB NES collecting maxes out (stadium events aside). I know it's not as bad as sealed and that some games you can't even get CIB (promo carts etc).

Rayman Origins~

Didn't realize it had a disc release on the PS3, as I had never seen it for sale previously
Actually saw it a couple weeks back in a Walmart bin and left without buying it. Regretted it later, but was happy to find it still there this past weekend. Played the first couple of levels and won't have time for much else any time soon, but .

Only ever had the first Rayman on PSX and never beat it.

Its a pretty good game, but I would wait and pick it up when its cheaper if I were you. By the time I finished the story I wasn't at all arsed with the collectables and such.

(All prices CIB) The vast majority of the games (probably around 400 titles) sit around $30-$60. About 100 of the more common ones (sports titles, puzzle games, overproduced crap, etc) can be found for $15 or less. About another 100 sit around $80-$120 (really popular titles, such as mint conditioned Zelda games, a couple of Mega Man games, Dragon Warrior 3 & 4, Contra, Final Fantasy, etc). Most of the rest of the games hover around $150-$200, and most of those are the uncommon-to-rare titles that a lot of people haven't heard of, and only really garner a lot of money because of how hard they can be to find (Mega Man 1 & 5, Zombie Nation, Contra Force, Duck Tales 2, Snow Brothers, Dragon Fighter, etc). Everything else after this point are the "special cases." Little Samson, Flintstones Surprise at Dinosaur Peak, Color a Dinosaur, Panic Restaurant, Chip 'n' Dale 2, Bubble Bobble Part 2, Stadium Events, etc... they'll go for whatever the market is sitting at at the moment. At this point in the price scale, condition can make a difference of hundreds to thousands of dollars.

I don't really keep track of the unlicensed titles the same, but there are a couple games there (mostly the adult Panesian games) that can get quite pricey (I've seen cart only copies go for $700-$1000), but the market for them is more limited than the licensed titles, since not everyone considers them necessary to complete a set.

Got a CIB Lost Vikings for $3 and change yesterday. That was pretty nice.

I picked up Deus Ex Human Revolution ultimate edition on PSN - it has the expansion and some other stuff which I haven't played.
Also grabbed Ninja Gaiden 3 Razors Edge on PSN as well - It's actually a pretty good game. I know the original version of it was pure gutter trash, but from my understanding they really re-worked the game. Better graphics, balancing, extra missions and characters, control, the whole nine yards. I'm happy with it

A friend and I have had sort of a war of little presents going on over the last five or six months. ^_^ I'll buy him a chocolate bar here, he'll buy me an ice cream there, I'll pay for his haircut here, he'll pay for my share of karaoke there. The other day, though, he bought the limited edition Shin Megami Tensei IV 3DS console that just came out here, and put his old one in my mailbox with a note that had a little smiley face and "Don't even try to give it back" written on it. >.> He's raised the stakes. There will be bloody vengeance for this.

Long story short, uh... I apparently have a 3DS now. :'D
