- Because it's a way to get the winning bid on an item?
- Eggbay, probably. It rolls off the tongue more smoothly.
- Because it's an easy platform to sell whatever schmutter you might have lying around, and it's almost guaranteed that some twit will buy it.

sorry for the rant and not a question but i know of a ad that not even the Adblock Plus addon for firefox can stop: Ad Bots

reported one at armorgames earlier today due to blatantly obvious ad type comments on several games. if only there was a anti-ad bot...bot for games like diablo 2, path of exile has few bots that i've seen so far but given time thats bound to have some change for better or worse.

edit: and i'd have to agree with you on final fantasy XIII, i'm in the last section of the game after doing what no game should permit, forcing myself to play that chore of a game. last section and things are so OP vs my characters who are getting close to max power for that point that i still have a hard time winning any fight. and the missions...i'm just gonna say that compared to the mark hunting of XII, this is a joke with most missions reusing the exact same, unchanged, monsters in different locations.

Well, that's because they're not exactly websites, now are they? They're games. If AdBlock Plus worked from your browser on whichever game you're playing, all I'll say is 'well done' to the designers.

I'll keep that in mind, though I prefer working with my machinery. Magical teleportation has a few significant drawbacks. Very short range, for one.
1 - Who knows. Gamers seem to have been a tad spoiled of late.
2 - I think by this point they're riding on their past fame, and their newest creations can't match up to any of it. But then, that's my view. I'm an engineer and a scientist, not a game developer.
3 - Not a clue. Given that the events of my first attempt at conquest have been committed to game, TV adaptation, comic, and so on? It could happen, I suppose. Hope it doesn't, because few actors can do me justice, but we'll see. I'll probably stonewall it if the idea is pitched to me. The games, fine. A movie, not so much.

I'd like to refer you to Evil Plot #...oh stuff it, I lost count ages ago: Generations. I worked with the Time Eater, a being that could rend time and space. He worked with me and I still got defeated by Sonic. I think any other such being, as such, would be less difficult to deal with than Sonic.

- Why do people keep asking me about how real my moustache is? It's real. I'm very proud of it.
- No. It's a spin-off side-story the Archie comics did about an alternate dimension version of myself because they had no idea what the true backstory of that particular Dr. Robotnik was, so they just tried to fill it in with an utterly pedestrian little story.

Chances are that those are both lies. You're probably talking about someone who wrote a fanfic or something.

I - I design massive mechanical constructs, sometimes one has to make new words. Mostly names for products and concepts.
II - Hrm, I'm not sure. Metal Sonic is definitely up there in complexity and functionality, but so was E-102 Gamma. I think Metal Sonic takes the crown though.
III - Setting Sail, Coming Home - Bastion.
IV - They know better than to try.
V - I expect to have taken over the world tomorrow, but I expect that every day. You need to stay optimistic in this business, otherwise what's the point?

1 - I tend to play violent games. It's very therapeutic, blasting things to bits without having to clean up after yourself.
2 - Similar to many other genres or nationalities of music - there's some good, and some bad. It's just that the good filters down to other countries more, because who would export the bad?

1 - A tad saddened, but it's in line with this forum's decline in activity, so it makes some sense.
2 - About two days ago. There's a certain joy when a creation activates without exploding. Yes, I'm a master scientist, but as any scientist knows, experimentation is key, and experiments don't always work out.
3 - No, not really. I don't have time for that when I'm plotting.
4 - Yes. The Master Emerald. And no, Knuckles still hasn't realised I stole it. It's almost sad.
