I started using Chrome after Firefox turned into a massive resource hog. Haven't gone back since.

Yeah I was shocked to find a Tales of Destiny II near mint and it is not quite that old yet. The problem is that most near mint copies are in the hands of people who don't want to get rid of them.

Chrome is even worse specially if you have multiple extensions installed. I used chrome on one of my computers for a while. The pages just crash out of the blue. Extensions crash for teh lulz. The tabs get compressed so you can't even click them if there are too many. It'll close tabs if you accidentally click on a close tab button once (which is normally invisible. firefox needs to be on a tab to close it or use right click) And it runs over 9000 chrome.exe s. And after all that, in the end it's not noticeably outperforming firefox in terms of resources and speed.

Though if you only keep little amount of tabs open and don't have any extensions installed it does take less resources and is a bit faster than vanilla firefox, I agree.

But why would you only keep little amount of tabs open and have no extensions installed? You might as well use IE.

EDIT: Oh, and it almost has NO OPTIONS MENU. My biggest gripe. You can't customize shit.

That's definitely been my experience. Either that, or the great condition ones go for almost twice the price, and it's already hard enough to justify the purchase when it's only in acceptable shape.

I only have three extensions, and it was like night and day when I switched over. I don't see the point of having multiple tabs open, especially upwards of 50 -- the most I ever have open is 10. Firefox would crash or stop responding all the time with only 5 tabs open, where Chrome has only crashed on me once that I can remember, and if I recall correctly it was because one of the add-ons crashed. I've heard that it's better now, but I don't see any point to going back until Chrome starts giving me problems.

If you accidentally close a tab, press Ctrl-Shift-T and it will reopen.

Yeah I would have had to pay way too much money to assure that condition online.

Also, I might try the pilot for this. Someone talk me into it

I'll keep that in mind if I use it again. But if it just calls the function that you can call in the new tab menu, it won't work if the page had not loaded completely. It just open a blank tab. Firefox behaved differently until they changed it recently which is really annoying.

That actually looks somewhat decent. Although I would be worried about it devolving into "buddy cop show from the future" if not done properly.

I might give it a shot.

In Firefox the only add-ons I had were AdBlock and Flash Player/Shockwave. After using it for a few hours, it would start lagging like a motherfucker, then randomly stop responding for upwards of a minute. That was enough for me to give up on it.

I would have given up if that happened to me too. But in many years of use, nothing of the sorts has ever happened to me and I run firefox on 3 different computers with different OS.

@Gypsy: Red Wings are getting so massively outplayed right now it's just sad. They have the potential to defeat Chicago, but not if they keep playing like this. Howard is the only reason they're only down by 1.

    That being said, FuckTheHawks.

Netscape was the first browser I ever used. I was so scared of the Internet back then.
