Not sure what you could use to fill the white space, but if you're doing a Zelda themed one there is tons of mythology related stuff that hasn't been beaten to death yet.
Yeah, I was actually thinking about using the blockier text in fact. Although maybe I could do a theme for each console based on each game/story arc. Like a wind waker/minish cap/phantom hourglass theme and use the blockier alphabet. Then use the curvier alphabet for a Twilight Princess/Skyward Sword themed one. I was also doing one themed after the original LoZ with a hand painted crest from the original NES box cover.

TP is different in NGC or Wii versions, apparently.
The script used in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is not the same as any previous form of Hylian. Unlike previous texts, the Twilight Princess version of Hylian can be directly translated from English into Hyrule's native language. Due to the fact that the Wii version of the game was mirrored from the GameCube version, the Hylian Alphabet is read from right to left in the Wii version, and left to right in the GameCube version.

I haven't read all that, I started getting drowsy

Everything looks good in the proper context. In all honesty, a "blocky" look on a hand painted NES console sounds about right, especially if it's a tribute to the original games.

In other news, I forgot to attack the Gaping Dragon's tail to get the Dragon King Greataxe. Disappointing, especially since that boss battle was so easy.

Early morning tomorrow. Two more shifts left until at least 3 days off.

Well I was doing a second coat on the NES' top case and I ended up with a horrible drip. I tried to fix it and only made it worse. I swear stuff like this always happens when I do custom painting. Now I'll have to wait until it dries and maybe remove the paint with some alcohol or maybe sand it down with fine grit sand paper and re-coat it. Hopefully I'll be able to fix it.

GMT +0 is the only true timezone, we're the standard everyone else is set against.

Set against? I'm not set against timezones.
Even if it's a timezone with more inactivity at most places than I'm used to, but that's just how it is.
