    Default I love playthroughs

Yes, I love playthroughs.. I love watching them.. I don't like LPs though.. I feel like the voice overs are getting in the way. Because of this, I decided to start my own playthroughs. I'm not a great gamer, I'm no hardcore, I'm just a regular person playing the game. So with that, I created this wordpress blog http://syncjournal.wordpress.com..

Currently, I'm playing Tales Of Phantasia and Megaman X. The upload speed here is abysmal so uploading these videos will take some time.

    Some criticisms are welcome

EDIT: My english is terrible. lol

you might like to check out http://tasvideos.org/

its tool assisted speed runs through various games. pretty good most of the time (depending partly on the game). just watch out as some runs are 1 hour+ long in 1 big video so it'd take a good while to load those.

I had a hard time finding all 120 stars in Super Mario Bros. 64 so I watched a longplay video hosted by 'World of Longplays' to complete the game. They make great strategy guides (especially for RPGs) and I prefer watching them instead of visting gamefaqs.

I watch that too. It's great but damn long. It would be better if they make sections and put some time reference on it in the description so we could skip to that section whenever we want and not watch the whole thing.

got a good point there kool aid man, those videos can be used for walkthroughs.

as for the really long videos, could be a tad helpful just to have the videos split into pieces. i mean, i can load a movie length video (roughly 120 min.) depending on where its hosted but results can vary widely on that. sometimes the movie would load maybe 1/3 of the way then the server would timeout and restart the loading from the start (super annoying).

I also like playthroughs much better than LPs. If you like arcade games, you should check out http://90sarcadegames.blogspot.com/ where I post playthrough videos of arcade games. Also, check out my YouTube channel for all my videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/90sArcadeGames

I like walkthroughs better than LP's sometimes. I watched a walkthrough of FF9 and fell in love with the game. If I get stuck, I use them to figure out what to do.Or I watch one to figure out whether I want to play a game.

The random battles in Tales Of Phantasia is happening so frequently that the video I recorded are mostly consists of random battles.. Would it be ok to edit out some random battles to reduce video length on a playthrough??

I feel like LPs are specifically made for creative entertainment where people can enjoy other people's thoughts on the game and such. So unless you really don't care much for the other person's thoughts, then LPs are probably the best thing to watch. If you solely just want to watch the game being played then playthroughs are as serious as you can get

I watch playthroughs of games I know that I may never get cuz age and money issues so i can feel like im playing the game myself

I just Finished ToP with the exception of the Colliseum and Morlia Gallery. I have to render it and upload it which I think takes at least 3 hours per episode lol. What game in the choices below should I play next?

    SNES

    Seiken Densetsu 3
Far East of Eden Zero (JP)
    Final Fantasy 5
    Chrono Trigger
