Nope, I saw it was too short and not really worth the money. I'm only interested in Year of the Snake if it gets discounted.

I'm surprised it hasn't gone on sale yet to be honest. I agree with your previous statement about SD being better than GTAIV - now don't get me wrong, I love GTA, but to me Sleeping Dogs felt more like an old school brawler. I loved getting into fights, and I liked how the game didn't focus on guns really (other than shooting from cars really, and some action scenes). I think that's why I really got a kick out of the Zodiac Tourney - it was all brawling, and pretty tough actually.

Finished Guacamelee! last night. I still have to 100% my current file, but I think I finished the game at around 80%, so there isn't that much I have left to find. Then, Hard Mode, which I'm hearing is rather difficult.

[ edit ] Just went through and finished that file 100%. The boss was much, much easier the second time around. Going to start up my Hard playthrough later today, and that will be that.

How does one "beat" Harvest Moon, anyways? I've never actually managed to finish a file, I just start growing stuff and make a pile of cash, then it turns into a "grow crop, sell crop, go to sleep" simulator, which gets boring very quickly.

I've considered getting it, how long did it take you, Jazz?

Twenty hours maybe. I liked it, but then again I hadn't played a game in months...my gf also bought "a new beginning" which is the newer one and TOTT seemed to be more quickly paced.

Not sure if it really counts, but I want to make a post. Don't hate me bro!

I beat Dodonpachi Resurrection on novice mode 3 times earlier on. These Japanese bullet hell shooters are insane, that is all.

I've not played resurrection, but I really enjoyed Donpachi and DoDonpachi. They are pretty wild shooters, that's for sure.

I beat a couple games on the NES and TG16 over the last couple days - Jackal and Life Force on NES, and then Salamander and Super Star Soldier on TG16. All such quick games.... none took more than 20 minutes

    Guacamelee!

Great game. If you're a fan of the metroidvania genre, it's worth checking this one out. It's not a huge game by any means, but it's spaced out enough and requires just enough navigation that it feels larger than it actually is. There are enough moves that you can start to generate favoured combos, but unfortunately not enough to really expand beyond a few simple power hits and some mid-air juggling. The more difficult fights usually turn into a dodge fest while you either wait for your opening to get a couple hits in, or try and corral the enemies into a corner and lay waste to all of them at the same time (not as easy as it sounds at times).

The only real mark against this game is it's length. It's too short. I played through twice, once to just beat the game (then some exploration afterwards to find everything and get the alternate ending), then once more on Hard Mode. My first playthrough was something like six hours, then another two hours (I think) to 100% the game. Hard Mode was 3:33. Once you know where everything is, you can very quickly race through this game. The only trouble will be a couple of the bosses, and a few of the later "arena" matches. Otherwise, game is remarkably easy, and you can skip large sections of it if you don't feel like fighting the enemies.

However, for $14.99, it's well worth the price.

    Labyrinth Legends 100%

Nifty little game, but there really isn't that much content in here of note. I love the idea behind the game, but the puzzles never get very complex and you can never perform more than your two standard moves, which get very repetitive against swarms of enemies that are meant to overwhelm you. With the exception of a couple of bosses, there isn't anything that you can't defeat by blocking and using your spin attack repeatedly. Kind of takes the fun out of it.

There's a multiplayer component to the game, but I haven't touched it yet and I don't think I'm going to.

    LittleBigPlanet Karting

Found a boosting partner on PS3T and managed to get my last trophy this afternoon. Never again will I be touching this game. The SP is great, but the online is fucking broken, which makes for a frustrating multiplayer experience.
