Ikaruga GameCube Issue.

So the Ikaruga files on here are 144mb, and so i downloaded them, but theyre split apart and compressed, so I tried to uncompress and this last rar file wont extract. So it only uncompressed 200 mbs, and I cant play the game of course, after the title screen, its dead. So I downloaded another file from coolroms, and its over a gig, but I can only get to the halfway or so point of level one and it goes back to the title screen. I have an XP and Im wondering besides that if theres an issue with Ikaruga for Gamecube on Dolphin, Im not having any issues so far with Twilight Princess. And also, why are there two different pages for Ikaruga on here, and which one is best to download from. And how

I should get the file better from the compressed rar files. Honestly, I dont know why they compressed them this way, the PS2 files work great and theyre bigger and only compressed once in one thing.

Possibly a scene release so compressed into a single file download

for split files though you only extract the from the one file

first extract the main rar to a new folder then only extract the first file from the split set that will either be a *.rar or a 001 file or possible have part01.rar at the end of the file name

if you give me the link I can test it for you (extracting anyway, I have Ikaruga for the dreamcast)

Those are the two links from the site. Ill try the second one too, since I didnt download from there, dont know why there are two if one of them doesnt work its 66621, and I hope its removed if the second one works.

I have checked the first link and there was no problems extracting the files at all (I used 7-zip to extract it)

The problem was a user issue not a file issue

If you like I can also test the disc image on my Wii via my USB HDD

P.S. the files are the way they are to preserve the original scene release so I was very much correct there, it's the StarCube release group's dump of the game, that was trimmed ect to get the small file size (trimming only has the junk removed so all game files are still in the disc image, with the junk included the image size would be apx 1.2 GB or whatever the size of micro DVD's are I may be a little off)

Scene group dump collectors are more like to go for the 1st link than the second one if that's not a scene release

Well, the second link doesnt crash when I play the game, the first link does after the title screen so I guess its better for the Wii instead of the emulator.

You also said you had extraction issues so it didn't work for you, that's kinda obvious and still a user end issue
