Hey guys. It snowed and there's ice. School wasn't cancelled though.
That sounds interesting Shane. What will the language be based on?
... Randomness, I guess?
The "dictionary" is (currently) small. And it's here.
The language is called "Draconian". And I have yet to update the dictionary with the other words I came up with
Words starting with F and so on have yet to be posted.
Basically, translating English to Draconian is easy, because it's a direct translation. Loanwords are translated directly where possible, or translated to English from the original language before it gets translated to Draconian.
Proper Nouns basically have their own meaning as well.
For example: in Draconian, "Shane" means "shame", "Kim" means "germ", "Richard" means "wisdom", "Gansbaai" means "goose", "Shaie" means "chill", and "Erin" means "water".
I just randomly pick a meaning, although in the cases of "Shane", "Gansbaai", "Kim", and "Erin", those are justified in some way:
"Shane" and "Shame" are almost spelled the same, and they sound the same to some people.
"Gansbaai" basically means "bay of geese" in English, which is why it means "goose" in Draconian.
"Kim" sounds just like "kiem", the Afrikaans word for "germ".
And lastly, "Erin". In a fanfic-thing I'm working on, there's a character named Erin who is able to control water. That is why "Erin" means "water".
...
Bloody hell, I sound like a teacher![]()

I think it sounds neat.
You're welcome, Shane.
I'm bored now
Time for some randomness.
