I-It's not like I want to come back, or anything like that...
My Japanese friends keep telling me I should stay here forever and take citizenship. I wouldn't go that far, I don't think, but it did get me thinking about how much I like my life here, and how bummed I'm going to be to leave after just a year. I need to find a way back~ Maybe I can go to graduate school here.![]()
Hey Elin,
So you are living in Japan?
Must be fun on a bun eh?![]()

THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.
I'm good, trying to stay warm. Waiting for Spring, thinking about crocheting/knitting some things to pass the time.
It seems a lot of old members are popping up.
Regular job, five years of constant residence, no criminal record, fluency in Japanese, willingness to take a Japanese name... Basically the usual stuff to acquire citizenship for a country. You have to give up your citizenship back home, though, so unless you're really set on living in Japan forever, it's probably not worth it. Especially since you don't really gain that much compared to someone with "permanent resident" visa status, besides the ability to vote and run for parliament, and probably a little more security in terms of your ability to stay in the country.
Still, I thought it was cute that they suggested it.It's nice to know I'm so accepted here that my friends want to make me one of them. :'D

For a European, at least, as we have badass passports that let us travel anywhere in Europe without restrictions. One of my Chinese friends here wants to take Japanese citizenship, though, both because she loves it here and simply because she says it grants many more advantages than a Chinese passport, which still isn't viewed very favourably by many countries. So there's that.
Yeah.
