    Unhappy Problem mounting ISO

Hi, I ve recently downloaded a ps2 ISO from emuparadise (Sly 3 - Honour Among Thieves). I ve unziped it and got 3 new "files" an image one ; a .09 (extension) and a .cnf (extension). Well I dont know if the 1st is an image because I cant manage to open it but on the description it says so, so Iam gonna go with it (although it seems some weird file too). The problem is that I cant find the way to work something out with those files, daemon tools or isodisks doesnt recognize any of the files and none of them seem to be and iso file. Iam not really sure what to do whith those files in order to mount the ISO so Iam kinda frustrated. I´d really appreciate if some1 could help me with this, Thx

P Here there is a link with the image of the files that I got ( it is in spanish though but I think that it doesnt really matter since there should be no trouble to know what it is)

PD*: I must say that this is my first time doing this kind of stuff so Iam pretty newbie to what emulators and ISOs are concern, Ive watch enough tutorials of how to configure and set up correctly the emulator but I cant find anything about my problem.

Don't know what you did but that's definitely not the game. I think what may have happened is that you chose to save the first link but you have to click on it to get to the captcha and then you can right click on the link and save (if that makes sense) Or you tried downloading something else on the page. Anyhow you can tell that it's not the game - just look at the file sizes.

    Sly 3 Europe
    Sl3 american

I checked and both links are working. Just left click on the yellowy orange title of the game, and it'll bring you to the captcha. Enter whatever is displayed and hit enter then you'll come to another yellowy orangish link and that's the one you can right click and save as or copy the location for use in jdownloader.

Thanks for ur quick reply Zaladane, here are some things I notice after your advice, when I left-click on the orange name of the game it takes me to this : http://www.emuparadise.me/Sony_Plays...54458-download ,what I did the first time was to click on the direct download file of that website and the download automatically started (without any captcha) and a 3.2gb file started to download. I was also concern about the file size that I recieved at the end but at the beginning ,the unzipped file was about 3,2gb size then ,after extracting the .rar file it became another 4.2gb .rar file and then after extracting that again it gave me what I showed you on the earlier post. I know that those files doesnt look like the actual game but the size of the earlier files really convinced me.

Here i show you both files , the 1st is the one I downloaded and the 2nd one is the one I got after extracting the 1st one (I hope it doesnt sound confusing) http://minus.com/lMOVmXQlMJA

    Thanks again

The first one is smaller becuase it is compressed, anytime you " extract " a file it revels it's true size, essentially your extracting/decompressing.

I've uploaded a video not too long ago to help someone else with a relative problem, see video below.

    STEPS:
Once you've downloaded the first .zip ( the smaller file ) you sould " extract to [filename] folder "
A newly created folder will appear where ever your .zip is and will have the name of the file you downloaded.
Most cases a .iso will be in parts. ( EX.. .00 .001) this is normal. Right click on the first file and " Extract here "
This will create another file within the contents of the same folder. And that's your game. ( You will know this because of it's size )

Also when extracting any game, you want to use the right click method shown in the video, and listed in the steps above. ( Unless advised otherwise which rarely happens if at all )

EDIT: The files in the video are GCM = GameCube, the steps for .iso are the same.

My guess is your using win rar to unzip your file and its associated with ISO files this is a common problem the issue is you extracted to far you should only have to extract one time only if win rar is associated with isos this file will still appear to be a rar file while in actuality its the ISO file and should mount in daemon and play on your emulator.

Hope this helps in short only un-rar once then try to play that.

You were 100% right, thx a lot, I clicked on properties and it happen to be an ISO file, the thing is that now Iam stucked mounting the ISO I´d appreciate if any1 could give me some hints about that, I´ve already checked some tutorials but I dont seem to get the right order of the process, there must be something that Iam missing. And again thanks all of you for answering so quickly

You do not need to mount it at all, the PS2 emulator can read iso images dirrectly

    Mod projects - XBOX
Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 - online quests in offline mode packs [COMPLETE]
    [Quest Packs Collection]
GTA San Andreas - Hot Coffee [COMPLETE]
[Mod ready] & [Full ISO ready]
GTA San Andreas - Real Car Names extra content mod [WIP] [Back burner, just won't have the time ]
Please can all ESR users post your results here to help with the project and others wanting to use ESR
