4-1 Oilers. I'm moderately hopeful for this season. We might actually make the playoffs.

And in most cases I wait anyway...I'm a bit of a scrooge (ok, maybe more than a bit)

I bought Dishonored when it was still pretty expensive and it was a massive disappointment (traded it as soon as I played through it once, and while it still had good trade value).
Got Skyrim when it was expensive, but I don't regret that at all
Neither examples were day 1 though...but games here stay at full price longer than OS (and even purchasing from OS doesn't get much cheaper for a little while because of shipping).

I'll buy games that interest me Day 1, especially if it's a new IP. Sometimes its to "support the developers," sometimes it's because I haev to finish a story (Uncharted 3, for example), and sometimes it's just because I absolutely loved the other games in a franchise and I know it's worth my money to be able to play a similar game again.

Otherwise, if a game only moderately has me interested but I'm still unsure about it, I'll wait for the price to drop and for some general impressions to come out.

The Witcher 2 is pretty good actually, but my opinion is influenced by the complete package and cheap price.
I wonder if the first game could be ported and released even if just as a download.

Yoga eh? So that's what we're calling it now-a-days.
