I find it's more like "getting engrossed in a game and not thinking about saving, then dying and having to do the last hour over again".

Hey I'm not saying I've never ever done it myself (spent an hour or so wandering around without saving and then died), but it hardly ever happens because I love those games and being organised about playing them isn't a chore.
I got into the habit of doing it ages ago.

That sounds awesome. The only cover they had were stacked barrels and wooden crates. Although a couple of the crates you could hide in and shoot out of. I had such a grand time though. I really want to play again soon.

We played a game called VIP. Where you had to kill the VIP whose guarded by two bodyguards who can only be killed with headshots. The VIP also only had a shield. Unfortunately I got killed fairly early in that game. Would love to play some capture the flag though.

I've played a similar game, but without the shield and slight rule differences I can't quite remember.

I didn't always win, but I was frequently one of the last people standing. I'm not exactly sure why, it's not like I have any skills, maybe everyone else was just much worse than I was. Once we got down to one person on each team (although I didn't know it until after I was eliminated) , I'd managed to get to the room with the flag, which was filled with all these old tires stacked up all over the place, and thought I was awfully clever finally grabbing it.

Apparently the only person on the other team had camped out nearby and shot me about 10 times when I reached up my hand. I was so mad.

Free 4 All though, I swear I alwaya got shot within he first minute. Maybe the boys thought it was cute to leave me welts and bruises. Not my idea of a good time.

That sounds incredibly cruel, but considering the last time I came home with more welts than wet paint....
