I sort of feel the same way. It's just a well done little adventure hack n slash. The lack of a story is fine really, just the skeleton of a typical western RPG. It doesn't need to be too involved, and the fact that it's something you can sort of ignore reminds me of older RPGs. The only thing that would make me happier would be co-op. It would be pretty awesome to take on the Ur Dragon with a couple of EPers.

It was decently challenging, too, without being frustrating. Although now there's the free DLC that added hard mode and speed run mode. Haven't tried either of those and probably won't. And I think the level cap is 200, anyone who gets that high is insane.

I think it was still 60 bucks when I picked it up, and I've logged about 90 hours of play. I can't say that for too many other things I own.

You misunderstand. The main motivation for getting a job was to pay for the game addiction. That point is now pretty much moot

It's awesome for the hardcore Mega Man fan who thinks the franchise has gone soft, but if you absolutely hate it then still give MM10 a try. It's more in line with what the series was about -- it's definitely difficult at times, but it's actually accessible to people who can't make pin-point perfect jumps.

    I enjoyed FFXIII.

So much I even went back to collect trophies I'd missed.

That is one platinum I'll never have.

Yeah, it takes a while to gear up with guns.
Apparently Riptide won't be like that though.

    Spoiler warning:

If I can do it that cheap I just might have to just get a console and a new PC.

    1. You'll buy a crap PC that cant run crap!
    2. You'll spend 1200 on a PC that maxes out on PSX emulation.

Building is the only reliable way to get a PC you'll actually enjoy. Plus you have an entire forum of people who will help you for nothing but thanks.

Well if you guys really don't mind answering a bunch of newb questions I'll probably take your up your offer. I'm thinking I'll start researching parts now so by the time I get my taxes I have a rough idea of what I'm going to do. Any suggestions are more than welcome.

    Dinner is ready.

Gonna go eat, then start up a new game. Probably Assassin's Creed 2.

I spent max $600 on my PC (and about 30K on my IT degree to back up my opinions). Check it out here. Yes, it is good.

It's not that bad, Demon's Souls was much worse.

I will draw your attention to the fact that I don't have that platinum either.

Although if I recall correctly, I'm much, much closer to that one that to the FFXIII one. Just a couple of stones needed.

There impossible to get, but there's just a couple!

You don't use a huge range of guns until later on.
That's what I meant by "gear up".
Best to stick to melee weapons with all the generic infected anyway, and save your ammo for when you really need it.

I blame my Swift Key app's auto-correct/text predictions.
