HTTP 410 means that either the website has been moved and no redirection was given, or the website permenantly does not reside at that location anymore and never will -- whether the website has been moved somewhere else under a different name that they no longer want associated with that domain, or they legally aren't allowed to associate with that domain, or they shut everything down and want everyone to know that they are no longer operating period. In most situations it will just come back as a simple 404, but not always.
There's a reason it's called HTTP 410 Gone.

'cause it's not there.
