My friend, who is a massive fan of the Lord of the Rings films, said it was "quite good", but that it suffered from way too much padding, and that they really should have done two movies rather than three.

...which seems pretty obvious, comparing the length of the book of The Hobbit to The Lord of the Rings. :'D

I understand, though I'll miss your updates. And talking with you in general. I guess there's always this place.

I'm not sure if I'll even go see it. Only if pkt really insists. Personally I've never even been a huge fan of LotR. But three movies? I thought it was gonna be only one.

I guess good old Peter likes the smell of them dollars.

Yep! Social networks are temporary, but EP is forever.

Also, my status updates are all exactly the same. :'D It's just me rambling about how much I love the world~

I think I'm going to see it on the 22nd, but not that keen. Only really going because some friends invited me.

And ditto on LotR. I read the book growing up and watched the movies when they came out, but was never hugely crazy about either. I appreciate the scale of what the story contributed to Western fantasy, but beyond that, not so interested. Just thought it was kind of okay.

Haha, I kinda envy you for that. There's much to hate about the world, I don't think I could ever come to love all of it.

Look at me, taking an innocent statement so seriously.

I also enjoyed your updates due to their dual-language nature, actually! I was mostly just reading the Japanese half, and only checked the English to see if I got everything right.

I've never watched any of the movies but I did complete LotR Return of the King on the GameCube many moons ago. Can anyone recommend any decent current gen hack n slash games? Ultimate Alliances have been completed many times over during stoned gaming sessions.

I don't love the whole world. But I love enough things that I can still love it in spite of the stuff that I hate.

Ohh! I never thought of that. Yeah, lots of my friends here who are learning English say the same thing. :'D Guess they're useful for something~ When do you sit your exam, by the way?

There's also the fact that I'm really into the Song of Ice and Fire books. I just can't go back to LotR after having a taste of that.

I'm assuming you are in Japan right now. I was thinking of booking a trip to Osaka with my $500 AirAsia voucher. Have you been there? I kinda miss snow...

I know I know, I was just going all philosophical and shit for no apparent reason. Maybe because I re-watched Se7en recently? BEST ENDING + LAST LINES EVER.

Apparently in April. I haven't signed up yet or anything, though. I can do that until March, if I'm not mistaken.

Yep! Where were you again? The Philippines? Singapore?

I've been to Osaka a couple of times. My brother lives there, so I actually touched down there and crashed at his place for my first few days here this time around. Cool city.

    WHAT'S IN THE BAAAAAWKS?!

Has been ages since I've seen it, but great, great movie.

Eep, good luuuuuck! I have to sit a practice JLPT N3 online in the next couple of days as part of my degree studies back home, Despite already having passed the exam at not just one but two different levels that are higher than that. I normally don't mind doing stuff below my ability level... but a lower level of the exact same exam I've already passed at its highest level? No thanks. :'D The worst thing is that even if it's easy, it'll still take me at least an hour because of the stupid listening part. ._.

My lappy just hung something fierce and have a sneaking suspicion all my progress is lost in the game I was playing

    Also it's snowing
