Yup. Which is why I'm going to wait for it. I don't necessarily care if I do the DLC or not, but I would like to have the option to if I so choose without spending a fuckton of extra money. I might start to go back and do DLC missions for a bunch of games that I have -- I'm still deciding at this point.
Some of the DLC for F:NV is meant to be fantastic such as Dead Money which is almost a game onto itself.
I generally don't get DLC, except for the Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare which was meh.
If it's multiplayer add-on stuff, I'll never buy it. If it's additional quests and whatnot, I'll definitely consider it, but I usually won't buy it. Right now, I kind of want to go back and do a bunch of DLC on some of the older games that I've played, but only the ones that I actually enjoyed -- Kingdoms of Amalur, for example. I bought the Ultimate edition of Dragon Age: Origins, so I might finish up Awakening and the other DLC stuff on that one day. Etc, etc.
Usually I don't waste the money, though. I'd rather buy a whole new game if I'm going to be shelling out $10-$15 for something.
How is that in relation to the cost of a brand new game?
For example, a brand new triple-A title over here would be $60 on release. I'll buy a highly anticipated title (Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, The Last of Us, etc) at full price if it looks interesting enough, something that I'm kind of interested in but unsure about for around $40 (Amalur and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow), something that I've heard but skimmed under my radar/didn't really pique my interest when I first heard about it/most games of that ilk aren't my favourite for $30. $20 is my "ah well, I'll give it a shot and if it's shit then it's only $20."
I should have stated I generally wait until price drops or get a game second hand, I don't mind waiting a year since I don't care about getting the newest games, new games here cost €60 but only few games could I justify paying that much for, Starcraft 2 Heart of the Swarm being one of them.
Most of the games that I buy are in the $20-$30 range. There are very few that I will buy day of, and even fewer that I will preorder.
Most of that isn't from patience, it's more from the fact that there are so many games that come out and so many that I buy that I just can't get around to everything before it drops to the $20-$30 range.![]()
So, uh... FUCKIN' SEAHAWKS FUCKED ARIZONA ALL IN DA ASS.
I think I can get into this Fallout 3 thing![]()
