There's a separate table for this shit. Oh god my sides.

Even more hilarious is the fact that there's no version that has all the content.
And here was me thinking the Dreamcast Sakura Taisen games were bad with two limited editions each. :'D

Ok. So I just got done playing through the first part of the Lufia 2 remake on the DS. Unless its supposed to be some sort of dream sequence all I can say is, what the hell were they thinking?

They've completely reordered the events of the game introducing the main villains RIGHT in the beginning of the game, killing off any sort of eager anticipation as you watch the story unfold on its own. I can deal with them radically changing the designs of the characters and even the goofy ass personalities they've seem to have given them. But with how botched the story is now compared to the original, along with the little additions they decided to sprinkle on top, it doesn't feel like a Lufia game at all; it feels more like a final "fuck you" to older fans who have been following the series since it started, simply taking a story and overhauling it to appeal to ADD-ridden children.

Needless to say, I am disappoint.

So, Barkley, Shut up and Jam: Gaiden's sequel is on Kickstarter now. I always thought it was just a joke and they were never going to actually do it. I mean, seriously, with a title like The Magical Realms of Tír na nÓg: Escape from Necron 7 - Revenge of Cuchulainn: The Official Game of the Movie - Chapter 2 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa, do you really expect it to actually happen?

But now that it's up, I totally want the $100 reward. It's a body pillow.

Everyone seems to be infinitely butthurt about that game but I kinda liked it.

Oh don't get me wrong, the gameplay itself is great. It just seems like they should have made it a new installment in the series rather than butchering the most popular one
"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"

I didn't really think that Lufia 2's story was anything very special to begin with anyway. The puzzles, music and gameplay were all great, but outside of the ending, the entire game's story felt about as vanilla as JRPGs come to me, and I felt zero attachment to the characters. So while I haven't actually played the DS one, I'd wholly approve of shaking up the story. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

EDIT: That being said, the original story arguably gets a free pass because of this line:

I got great news for anyone wanting to play Gundam battle assault 2 or Shaman King : Spirit of Shamans.

They Froze in both epsxe 1.7.0 and pSXFin and any other PSX emulator but in the new version of epsxe 1.8.0 the games run perfectly.

Do we have a emulator compatibility list here on EP?
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

So this is the month the final issues of Nintendo Power, PSM, and I think some others are coming. I plan on picking them up. Does anyone else? Also, why is it that some PS3 games need to be installed? It's so annoying, why did Sony do this? Argh, I hope they don't do this with the PS4. With the 360, you just put the game in and play, you don't need to install anything. At least with the PS3, you get free online play. Anyone looking for the VGA awards this year?

The 360 is incredibly noisy, I wouldn't dare to play a game without installing it
I don't mind installations in any console, the games load faster.

You're mistaking "Sony" with "developers." I can only think of a handful of titles that require an installation in order to play. Some of them give you the option, but it isn't mandatory by any stretch, and none of this is a decision made exclusively by Sony.

Some of the worst programming on TV ever. Terrible awards show, and crap like CoD usually wins best game.

This. I have a slim 360, and it's still louder than all hell. Installing games is almost always better.

Yep - don't blame Sony, blame whoever made the game that you're trying to play. I don't see why installing is such a big deal anyway.... do you not play any PC games? All that stuff has to be downloaded/installed, and besides console installations are no worse than the mandatory updates that pop up from time to time.

It hardly takes any time to install them.

And as for the VGAs, they fall under the category of LOL video game journalism. Completely forgot that they existed before checking this thread.
