    I love impulse purchases.

My biggest scare is I'm going to be starting from scratch. I don't have anything that goes into a desktop PC -- no keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, spare parts, nothing. So on one part it'll be nice because everything will be brand new. On another part, all told it's probably going to cost me close to $800 (rough estimate).

I finally got my hair cut today after putting it off for about two weeks.

MY HEAD FEELS SO LIGHT AND STRANGE NOW WITHOUT ALL OF THAT HAIR

Yeah, I used to start from scratch whenever I built a PC because my dad always wanted the old one. Bright side is you'll be able to get some really nice peripherals that will last for future builds though. I actually don't have space for a standalone monitor so this new one is going to be hooked up to either an iMac screen or a TV and used as a media centre/gaming rig. Redheaded stepchild of the PC master race right here.

That solution to the monitor was the same idea that I had. I was going to buy a 21"-27" flatscreen and hook it up to that, then use it as a PC/retro console desk. The only problem there is that LCD TVs don't work with light guns, so if Dallas and I want to play Duck Hunt we won't be able to on that TV. Which actually is a bit of a bummer.

Thanks man, the sticker on the cartridge was particularly difficult to get off. It also left a lot of residue on the label. Which I was successful at removing, but it was a pain. Still for the price I think I did okay.

Since I'm not going for PAL/KOREAN region games. Only US and Japanese releases(including duplicate releases). I have 29 games total left to get. Although I only have 9 more before I'll have a complete US release collection. It's getting there, although I'll probably be slowing down adding to until after the holidays. Except for maybe some of the really cheap titles.

Yeah, I'd say you did pretty good at that price. Especially considering how amazing the end result looks.

And that's way too many Phantasy Star games. Then again, at one point I wanted to build a complete US collection of Mega Man games. Which is probably somewhere close to 50 games. So I guess it's not as crazy as it sounds.

A worthy aspiration seeing as Megaman games are awesome.

Mega Man games are awesome. However, there's just so many of them. I stopped caring after a certain point.

Suppose you could stop after the super nes games. Then again I did enjoy Megaman X4. Didn't enjoy Megaman X7. Bought that second hand from Game and found it to be a bit naff.

Irony of ironies. Just as I'm talking about Megaman, Bomb man's theme appears on my music player

Haha, actually there's 31 games I have left to get. I only have 20 Phantasy Star games as of right now. Still, at least there's only a few more somewhat expensive($50+) titles left to purchase. The rest will be fairly inexpensive, probably less than $20 for most of them. Some of the Japanese PC versions might be hard to get a hold of CIB though. Seeing as I never seem to see them on eBay. The real expensive part will be when I start trying to get all of the Japanese Art/World book, Manga, and Strategy Guides.

I never did play MMX7, but I heard it was just horrible. MMX8 went back to it's side-scrolling roots and really isn't too bad. You should check that one out sometime.
