idk anything about the "zune" view that they all brag about, so go to the normal desktop view.
Click start and search "Create partitions" and click the first option.
    Then click Action> Rescan Discs.

    Does that help?

And their full screen apps don't support my netbook's resolution 1024×600.
I needed to apply a resolution hack.
That was making windows 8 in it ugly that lead to the uninstall of it in my netbook.

Windows 8 looks like two separate OS's merged into one clusterfucking mess.

I think I'll pass for the foreseeable future.

I most likely will as well, but I had to satisfy my curiosity by installing the retail version.

It's interesting...and very "Xbox 360-ish" in a sense, but all I can see it doing is making things complicated.

It's not Xbox-y. It's the bloody Metro UI they have been using since WP7s came out. Same horrible interface with "pinning" and whatnot.

And how do you like the new 360 dash update?

Time to go shopping for work boots and groceries.

And maybe some games, if I'm lucky
