It'll be minor differences like bug fixes and whatnot. Grab the later one and don't worry about it.

I might just emulate it, although I prefer swap-tricks. I dont know why I want to play the PS1 version when I could just get a Flashcart or the original copy of the DS version.

Seriously though, emulate it. Either SNES or DS version preferably. The PS version has load times before every fight! If you absolutely need to watch the couple CG cutscenes the PS version added. Then just watch them on Youtube or something. The PS version is definitely the inferior version of CT.
