I don't know, I kinda agree with said 'idiot'. With the possible exception of E.T.

I credit Sonic 2006 with causing a lot, but I'll admit that it hasn't caused a great video game crash.

In all seriousness though, I'll admit that it's a stupid comparison. Atari can't be compared to games that're 30 years younger. I stand by the fact that the game is utter, utter shit though.
