I just think it's funny when Americans complain about their government when most of them don't vote.
If you vote then it's perfectly ok to complain imo.
Yeah but you're assuming voting makes a difference

I think you misunderstood what I was saying.

If you don't have anything to do with the process then what right do you have to complain about the outcome?

    Spoiler warning:

A nice little 12-year-old girl from California did a genealogy for a school project that takes mothers into account, since most are paternal. She found that every United States President is descended from the author of the Magna Carta, except for one. Also heard that Bush and Kerry were both descended from Vlad Tepes during that election cycle.

    So yes, I vote.

And yes, I understand it doesn't make a real difference.

When it comes to the lower forms of politicians (Senators, Congressmen, Governors, City Council,) it counts. Although you usually have to try to choose the lesser of two evils.

When it comes to electing Presidents the Popular vote (The average citizens vote) doesn't mean squat. It's the Electoral votes that elect presidents. So basically 538 people decide who gets to be President. Of which only 270 electoral votes are needed to win.

Technically, you're picking the lesser of two evils.
    Something's got to change, right?
It's talks like these that makes me wonder about the state of transparency in government.
