The members around here that I remember playing a lot. God of Battle, Nemesis and King. Brit still plays a lot of MVC3 from what I've read in his posts. Recently, the only fighting game I've really played enough to get good at was MK9.

Oh yeah, the Phantasy Star series is awesome. Well, the original 4 are, not extremely fond of PS Online or PS Universe really. The first Phantasy Star game was definitely ahead of it's time. It was released on Sega's 8-bit machine, the Master System. It was a somewhat simple RPG based in a Sci-fi setting. It was more technically advanced than some of it's RPG rivals of the era. As opposed to Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy's static monster sprites. Phantasy Star had fully animated monsters in battle, as well as pseudo-3D first-person dungeons.

If you like classic 8/16 bit era turn-based RPGs then you should definitely try out the original 4 Phantasy Star games.

Just a heads up, Western Digital drives use a non-standard connector layout so you have to modify the PS2 network adapter to make them fit. Samsung, Seagate, Maxtor, Fujitsu etc. all line up perfectly so go with one of those if you have the choice.

Really though, the only other fighter I was ever any good at was Street Fighter Alpha 3. I'm so out of practice now though, I'm sure I would be totally devastated if I played against an actual human opponent now.
