    THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/

    Did he put a PCIe x1 card into a PCIe x16? I've never tried it, but I can imagine it should not work.

    No he managed to put it in the right slot but I guess he was having trouble with the driver software or something I'm not entirely sure

    I'm gonna blame Youtube as that's probably where he found the guide to how to open the tower.
