    lol, why thank you.
I will not disrespect anyone for not working because they can't buy anything nice for themselves. If their parents give them anything they want though, thats not cool.

I get nothing for physical labor that I was asked to do.
I remember helping my father get a boat engine running so that he could find out what the problem was, and all I got was nothing.
This was in 2004 or 2005.

It's actually thanks to the boss of my father that I had a computer. I did something for him and he paid me by getting the computer fixed. Unfortunately, whoever fixed the computer did a horrible job, because since then the computer crashed randomly.

Really, the only times I ever ask my parents for money is to go down to the dollar store down the street and get something to eat when there's nothing dinneresque in the house.
sometimes they let me keep the change.

Hey I had to drop out at 13 to school to keep a roof over me and my parents head and food on the table because one parent got fired and couldn't find work as a painter and the other is disabled. Been working full time doing mainly manual labor jobs ever since.

And growing up my family couldn't afford to give us any money!

    I want goodies too!

    Spoiler warning:
I'm not looking for sympathy or trying to +1 anyone, I mean you gotta do what ya gotta do right?
And I always know no matter how hard I think I had/have it that there's always someone who's got it worse.

My pop was a fuckin WWII guy and although he was compassionate and had a heart of gold, he didnt mess AROUND when it came to 'pulling weight'. He worked til his 60s as the foreman of a massive paper mill, and when you'd see this friggin soot-covered MOUNTAIN that looked like some kind of mad Viking asking/telling you to clean the cellar or cut the grass, you might have a HARD time arguing.

I have known many friends whos parents have graced them to no extent: loaded credit cards, model year cars, jewels, parties, etc....I believe that this level of grotesque ingratiating is a definite detriment in terms of human/social development, but this is only my opinion, of course.

BIG ups to Shelly as well! (Wait...Johoto? ..or?)

And here is a 'goodie' for you: "Dont be a douche in this life lest YOU become the TRUE douche!"

Nah, its fine. What they don't understand is that becuase they do not learn an appreciation for earning your own, they peak at an early age. They will not be well off in their adult lives, but you will.

    To you, it's today.
To me, it's yesterday. (since it's past midnight)
