If the LCD is cracked and bleeding, then no it is not worth repairing. If it does not power on or has what is called "the 2-second to black" problem, then they are more than worth fixing. All they need is a couple of after market capacitors since most electronic companies use crappy ones which blow very easily. I have already fixed two monitors which only cost me $5 in caps. One monitor was free and the other cost me $25 to have shipped, but they are both 1600x900 widescreen displays which are both still on the market for $140 new.

I wouldn't touch a CRT since I nearly killed myself with one a few years back. CRT stands for cathode Ray tube. TO emit the lasers which activate each pixel, they use a massive tesla coil and so they other required components can contain massive amounts of electricity even powered off...

I can't really offer a tutorial on anything other than removing a cap and soldering a new one. It is very simple if you already have some skills in soldering. The most difficult part of the process is opening the shell without braking tabs off. THen again, all you need there is patience.

Have the screens been cracked or do they simply not power on? If they are not cracked, then you can easily replace some components on the power inverter board and have them running again. Thats what I do; I by monitors at a price just above shipping and fix them for myself.
Both. At first two of them didn't power on, and the third had the "2-second to black" problem. Then my father did something very idiotic...
I told my father stacking monitors on top of each other isn't going to end well, but he said it wouldn't happen. And then he got proven wrong by a cat, who jumped on top of the stacked monitors, thus causing it to fall off the desk.

You have to even ask, dude? GBA/DS all the way....there are a few greyscales and GBCs that I'm still after, though not many these days.

My life-cycle of hoarding, beginning in 1977 when I was four-years-old: Atari 2600, NES, SMS briefly, SNES/Genny, Atari Lynx briefly, PS2, GBA/DS.

I came to the realization several years ago that 'cartridge hoarding' is a fools game; sort of like 'chasing the dragon' for heroin junkies....meh...give me a hacked PSP and a few good AceKards. Life is WAYYYY too short to be fumbling through garage sale boxes looking for "Bible Adventures" or some similar crud...only seeking it out because its 'rare'....barf.

Well, the objects and surroundings that are in the left and right monitors would ordinarily not be there, so they are not necessary to game-play. Its not like the game is stretched or anything, you simply have more to view. For example, in Skyrim: You would have to turn your character's view to see the wolves jumping at your ankles, but with three, you can turn your actually head.

Can we sit in middle with monitors surrounding all around us and have a 360 view?

My, arent you a greedy AND impatient one ...tsk tsk tsk....

...And whaddya mean 'choices' - ? Ya get what ya GET; its just that simple.

Found a couple of the FF games, man, but wifey caught wind and said "hellllllllllll NO!" to that, so... Shes all about the Golden Suns, though, as I explained that they are for a 'budding collector' and that they'd be in 'loving hands'.
I know that I have others, but dammit if I know WHERE...
(I DID just do the living room closet today for the first time in several years, though...found a few SPs, one loaded with Castlevania, (SCORE) and a few consoles and other crap....no little JRPGs, though....)

    We'll see...

I am not known as a patient person.
The Golden Suns are just fine, those are what I'm really looking for.
I don't really need the FFs, I've beaten most of the GBA ones, except for 6.
    Thank you.

For the right price, you could.
But a video card that would support that many monitors will set you back 1K and then all of the screens!

We have install the software in pc also.
Then that pc software streams the currently played games to that android app.
It means our phone works like a secondary monitor and a controller.
For that we need a great internet connection in both android and pc. (i don't have that) but we can also connect both pc and android phone with a hotspot and wifi (but who will play in phone instead of pc when we're near our pc? ).
I would love to be able to do that. I have the network to support it.
