Default Zelda OOT + MQ Working Version?

So I've recently got Dolphin up and running nicely, able to run a couple of my games on it with little to no problems. However, I just can't seem to find a working copy of OOT+MasterQuest for GameCube.
I found this US version that loads up and the Action Replay codes for it work, but there's no sound, and according to the comments for it, I'm not alone there.
    I also found this http://www.emuparadise.me/Nintendo_G...terquest/66444
which Dolphin says is a Japanese version, even though the text is English. The problem is that it's only MQ and doesn't include the regular OOT. And I can't get any Action Replay codes to work for it, and I've seemingly tried them all...

Does anyone know of a way I could get the sound working properly on the US one I have? Or do you know of another version that works properly?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

P.S. Is Dolphin generally more reliable when you rip your own discs? Unfortunately my drive doesn't read them but I may consider getting one that does, since I still have the discs for most of the games I want to run anyway. (On that note, any good recommendations for a good cheap SATA DVD drive that would work well?)

    You can try this:

Download this file - (You'lll need a program called 7zip to open it.) Download Links:

Open the 7zip file and extract the 2 files called "dsp_coef.bin" (4KB) and "dsp_rom.bin" (8KB) and then place them in your *dolphin*/User/GC/folder. Then open dolphin and select "DSP LLE Recompiler" in your audio settings and see if that works.

    That worked! Awesome!
Now I just have to figure out how to get the saved states to load consistently so I can play through the game without worrying about crashes...

Savestates will cause contiued unstability, it'll save any problems mounting up and will continue to cause crashes more frequently the more you use them. I've noticed savestates are really bad to use especially with dolphin. Use normal saves.

That's actually rather unfortunate... I'm trying to play RE0 and it ends up crashing after maybe 10-15 minutes of play time... Really annoying to play the same part over only to have it crash again at a different spot.
Any tips on how to optimize RE0 and keep it stable?

Edit: Been running it fairly well consistently now. Still interested to hear of tweaks/optimizations though.

Just so you know, the Master quest game was extracted not long after release and can be played on PJ64 (A N64 Emulator) as it is just an N64 game emulated on the GameCube (In your case you are emulating the gamecube emulating N64, that was never perfect on the GameCube to start with)

P.S. have you looked at the Dophin Wiki compat list and checked if any special settings are Needed for Resident Evil 0

    Mod projects - XBOX
Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 - online quests in offline mode packs [COMPLETE]

GTA San Andreas - Real Car Names extra content mod [WIP] [Back burner, just won't have the time ]

That's a good point actually, I hadn't really thought much about that.

As far as the compatibility list, yeah I've looked at that as well as the Resident Evil series thread. The information seems pretty limited, and as far as the thread goes, there's no up-to-date consolidation of the best settings. There doesn't seem to be anything like that for any of the games I'm looking at actually. And it won't really help going through 100+ pages of old info either.

As for ripping no PC drive can read original GameCube discs only the Wii and GameCube can, so you have to rip via homebrew software for the GameCube or Wii, gamecube software was originally ripped via eithernet (cat5) through the BB adaptor (It's an extra addon as the GC never had a network port to start with).

I have done this myself in the past via an exploit through phantasy star online and the first method to play backups back was through the same exploit streaming images from your computer (not the best way to do it but some games ran perfect that way) asides from mod chips there are software ways to run burned games on the gamecube directly nowerdays aswell.
