Did you ever get around to modding your Wii?

Ehhh, I had LetterBomb set up, but I changed my mind a bit, I want to see about getting a second Wii or see if Nintendo is going to drop support of the Wii before I mod it. I just want to make sure if it needs repairing I don't break the warranty.

Then again, the games might be worth it....

Watching America's Funniest videos which reminded me of a prank we played on my girlfriend's mom. We had just gotten a new kitten but had also collected natural clay from the river to sculpt into something. We made a bunch of turds to set around the kitten when her mom came out to feed him. It's so easy to mod a Wii that there's no real reason not to do it. Plus I'm pretty sure that you might be able to just uninstall the softmod in case you do have to send it in for repairs. Although the only thing I've ever had to repair was a dead laser. Which is easy to install and cheap as heck.

Regardless of how old it is, disc loading official or otherwise is not as economical as HDD loading.
Tested Load Speeds:
official disc - 3x
burned disc - 2x
Hard disc - 5x

Yes, higher is faster. While I played Animal crossing with my mom via internet, I always got out of buildings and other loading screens much sooner than she, even when she left the building before me. My disc drive is rarely used and when it is, its for ripping.

The original vertical model, Black, bundled with a WiiMote+, Wii Sports and WS Resort.

In other words? No fucking clue Although I'd guess it to be a late '09 model or in that period of time, I'll have to check.
