I've lost faith in Microsoft so much I'm thinking about having a spare 360 at all times, in reserve.

I think I'd just stick to the PS3 if it got to that point.

You'd think. But this is what puts me off PS3:

Stupid install times on every game, ever.
Stupid update times on every game ever, which then leads into an install, that takes forever. By the time it's ready to play, you've totally lost interest in actually playing the damn thing.
Controller isn't a patch on the 360 controller.
    Online sucks arse.
Slow as hell loading times, because Blurays are slooooow.

I haven't used my 360 for a while. Kinda scared to turn it on now since yours was newer than mine and still broke.

Think it was my own fault. It was not well ventilated. Sure it had loads of room at the top, but the system wasn't raised up, and was sat on a glass shelf for all of its life. The heat in the TV unit/around the system used to be incredible. And not in a good way.

I thought it was normal. Obviously not.

The one I'm using now is now propped up on 4 bottle caps.

My new one will be as well. I'm going to try and take better care of the new one.

Mine's vertical next to the TV. Silly design really. If you use it horizontally the fan is on the top, and of course if you've got a shelf above that... :/

Because fortunately for Microsoft you haven't yet experienced the sheer unadulterated joy of 16 bit consoles and Apple laptops.

Hey now, I played Sonic, Streets of Rage 2, Super Mario World, Super Mario All Stars, Starwing and others. What more do you want?
