I saw some really slim ones at office depot a few weeks ago. I didn't like the way it felt though

I think Twinhead make Durabooks...dunno about 6ft drop, but I seem to recall a convertible being certified for a 4ft drop.

Wouldn't want to find out but mine's travelled with me and been perfectly durable. The whole thing is made out of metal so I'd certainly trust it more than most other laptops.
