    OK.
Next pirate phase I go through, Alestorm will be the music backing my ambitions.
Must find cheap copies of their album.

    Yeah, Sheras was correct.

@sword: $8-10 shipped each is around what you'd want to pay.

    Perfect.
I got a bit of cash just for such a purchase.

Humourously enough the first copy of Black Sails At Midnight got was one of those leaked by the company/band releases where they talk over the songs a bit and the guy says, "and remember, piracy is a crimmmme".

Just think of it as free digitally distributed media.

On that note, my googlefu has discovered their discography in one nifty torrent. Nifty.

Bands (Big ones anyways) don't make as much off the record sales as the record labels themselves do. I was at a Art of Dying concert and the lead singer was like "How many of you guys torrent our albums?" (Everyone cheers) "That's cool man we could care less. The label gets a majority of the money from album sales. But hey if you want to support us go to the merch tent afterwards and buy something. Even something as small as a bumper sticker to show your support"

All that money at least you know goes directly to the band.

Exactly. There are quite a few bands that just make their albums available for free on their website. I remember Sigur Ros doing this with one of their newer albums.

I think I've heard about that, they make like a small percentage off every album or some BS of that trend. Bastards.
    Plus that band sounds awesome.
