I got rid of Mass Effect 3. Fuck that game. Next time I start over the Mass Effect series, I'm playing ME1 and killing Shepard in ME2.

I've yet to play the 3rd one. Was it that bad? I know people are raging about the ending, but I thought the rest of the game was considered to be fine.

The game was great. Amazing. Sublime. The ending, however, goes against everything that you've built up in the series. Without spoiling anything, all I can say is that it is completely out of character for Shepard. Even with the Extended Cut DLC (free), it doesn't really do justice and seems to be a petty slap in the face.
In short, play the game, as it is definitely enjoyable. Just be aware of the shit ending.
