    Default Playstation Emulation Cheater doesn't work for FFVII?

    I tried to checkmark some of the codes in the boxes and then transferred them to the plugin and used the plugin to start the game, but the cheats doesn't seem to work in game. It did ask for a HEX extension so I don't know if it's just me not doing it right or not because I think that it uses Gameshark.

    Using PEC:

    Step 1: Download PEC installer
    Step 2: Install
    Step 3: Ensure that your ePSXe video plugin is "psx emulation cheater 2.5"
    Step 4: Start PEC.exe
    Step 5: Near the top of the PEC window, sort for what region your game image is from.
    Step 6: Under the game list is a search box. Use that to find your game.
    Step 7: Select codes from your games available code list.
    Step 8: Click "Send Cheats to Plugin"
    Step 9: Run your game. If your PEC info was not covered by another window, you will see it change to say it is activating your cheats.

    If you have problems after all that, restart ePSXe so that you can configure PEC plugin. In the second tab of it's configuration, you will see a slider that changes the code refresh rate. Sometimes PEC won't seem to work right until you change this. Usually left(faster refresh) will fix the problem. If not, you may have codes for the wrong game version, or just non-working codes.

    Note that when you go to ePSXe config > video > config [psx emulation cheater 2.5], the first tab lets you select the video plugin that you will actually use since PEC plugin only inserts cheats. I get crash-to-desktop's when I exit this configuration but any changes I made are kept when I restart ePSXe.

    Well, It turns out that at least some other codes work fine. I put in the infinite gill code and it worked in game when I transferred the code into the plugin.

    The problem is though for the AP and Exp codes I cant really find the extensions for them: http://imageshack.us/a/img222/8624/peccode.png.

    You might want to check out some other gameshark code sites and add their codes; sometimes they'll work better than the ones that come with PEC.

    As for the EXP and AP codes bit, what it looks like it's asking for is the amount of AP/EXP to give you after a battle, in Hex form. Basically when you want to get a gameshark code to give you a certain number of something, you have to enter that amount in Hex form, which the cheat device translates to the number you want (base 10 decimal form).

    An easy way to get this would be to use your calculator program (assuming you use windows), or to use something like this; http://www.statman.info/conversions/hexadecimal.html . Basically you would just type the desired amount into the box next to "Convert", then click the "to hexadecimal" button.

    So if you wanted to get say, 9999 exp after battle, you would enter $270F, as 270F in hex translates to 9999. If you get a hex result that has less than 4 characters (say, FF), you would type it out as $00FF.

    For more information on the hexadecimal system you may give this article a read; http://vlaurie.com/computers2/Articles/hexed.htm

    "I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"

    That is the desired value

    63 = 99
    64 = 100
    3E7 = 999
    3E8 = 1000
    270F = 9999
    2710 = 10000
    FFFF = 65535 = Max value

    For item and other specific codes that have the same sorta thing look at the Quantity Digits at http://cheats.codetwink.com/psx/view/1258/
