Hello everyone. I just found this thread in google.

I am looking for the name of a PSx mecha game. It is probably Japanese. This game lets the player choose from around 8 robots. There are a few game modes. One of them is to fight a giant robot with your AI teammates. Also, the robots can fly with their jetpacks. The last thing currently I remember is that when my robot was badly damaged, part of the screen would be blacked out.

    Thanks in advance!

Hello, I have been looking for this game for ages but can't remember it for the life of me.
I think it was on either Snes or Sega Genesis, You were part of a Squad of sorts that had to fight in (i think it was a virtual world or post apocalyptic) in order to survive. They had to fight in order to progress and eventually become free of these captors.. At least i think thats how it went, I remember playing it a long time ago.

    Thank you for any help.
P.S It may of been a japanese game translated to english.

Could it be Cyberbots:Fullmetal Madness? AFAIK it is similar to the gundam games on the PSX & it is somewhat reminds me from your description.

No, sorry, the game I am finding has the view of 3D first-person shooter.

No...actually I have checked the following thread but nothing looks alike, http://www.epforums.org/showthread.p...-Games-for-PSX

I remember the game didn't seem to have any mission. There were only game modes, which are team-based (with AI). Also, it doesn't have any male or female characters.

There are many games which may fall into your description. Maybe the game you played was one of the Strategy RPG's since you fight with the enemies in a squad formation & could only progress until the rival party is completely knocked out. Also Srpg's were mostly Japan exclusive during the era of Snes/Genesis.

However, could it be one of the Metal Max games for the snes that you are talking about?
