I haven't really enjoyed a Sonic game since Sonic & Knuckles. They never should have gone the 3-D route with Sonic. Of course I am completely and utterly BIASED!

Elise isn't Sally. Also, Sally is entirely the wrong continuity and wouldn't even remotely fit in this one.
Also, I must've missed something if the bugs have to be sought out or faked. I mean, I wasn't even trying, and I found bugs at every turn. I must be some kind of omni-genius!
The character animation's shit, Elise is slightly LESS interesting than a paper cutout, and even the first level is reduced to poor playability because A: the controls are crap, B: you tend to die at the tiniest bug, which meant I game over'd at least 5 times on my first playthrough, C: the Tails section is horrendous. Which idiot designed his controls? A one-armed blind deaf leper? D : The 'speed section' following the first part of the stage is atrociously mishandled, requiring twitch controls and near clairvoyance to avoid dying instantaneously, and that's if you don't bug out and just randomly die on a grain of sand in your path.
That was level ONE.
This is not a well-designed game. It's shoddy, was rushed to a christmas release, hasn't been playtested properly, appears to have had the same budget as Titanic II (look it up!), has one of the most ridiculous clusterfucks they dare to call a storyline I've ever seen in my life, an eighth of the playtime is spent on loading screens (yes, I timed it), and the bugs, really, I don't have to seek them out. They must have some kind of search and destroy targeted on me.
I don't play a game to look for bugs, very true. But they're a bit hard to miss, in this case. *start game* 'oh look, a bug.' *take step 1* 'oh look, another'. It's a bit hard to avoid them if it's about half of everything.

It is kind of interesting to play a game looking for bugs, though (although time consuming)

To be honest, I've never really played a Sonic game. I had a nintendo growing up. I didn't know anyone that had a Sega. I'm catching up on the Sonic games just in the past few years.
