Find some Japanese Death Metal. That is depressing.

    Lyrical content matters here.

Old Tristania is filling in for now. Beyond The Veil is a masterwork. Widow's Weeds up there as well.

You could always dig out the Doom:VS albums.

The japanese DM scene is actually pretty strong, provided you like your DM brutal with a hefty dose of punk influence.

You buy a Pagan Front album, you're helping pay for someone to get curbstomped.
Wait so its ok to burn churches to the ground, and possibly kill people inside those churches, because these satanists could strike anytime. Also they have threatened to murder Christians, or people in general, but if you buy an album from a Pagan Metal band, you are supporting white supremacists, and that is wrong. If anything both would be wrong to support.

    OR

You could not give a shit, and just listen to the band for their music. Also it is quite hard (at least around here) to find Pagan Metal to buy, I would have to go online to buy it, which there is another way to get music, especially metal that is either A.) hard to find, B.) they don't give a shit if you buy or download

You would be surprised how many bands are legit satanists. There are some that do it for shock value, you are exactly right.

As for racism, quite a few musicians have used racism for shock value. Axl Rose did it in the song "One In A Million" and GNR isn't metal. Phil Anslemo of Pantera used racist slurs during his rants at live shows.

As for Peste Noire, I just sat down and listened to a few songs, I like their style of music

    Especially this song here

As I have not heard much of them, I am actually surprised at the quality of the recording, as most Black Metal bands have shitty quality music.

Once again, I like the style of music, the sound, the vocal style, and so on. I don't support anything they believe.

Just my 2 cents on the subject.

Sorry for the double post, but here might be some food for thought Dr. Mario.

They have been suspected of being a National Socialist band but Famine said they were French nationalists: "I am a nationalist, not a socialist... My two nations are : France d’Oïl (i.e Northern medieval France where langues d'oïl were spoken) and Hell". On Ballade cuntre lo Anemi francor's digipack, Famine also stated that "Peste Noire is a nationalistic satanic band from France, not from Germany. Peste Noire reject any links with nazi imperialism, which is essentially an enemy of French culture for which PN fight. Let it be understood one day..."

Yeah, they don't like the idea of a German white supremacist nation.

Get em talking on everything bar the nation responsible, they're pretty fucking happy with the whole idea.

And do you have any interviews where they say that? I mean they could they be doing that for shock value I guess at a show in Montreal in 2008, they rattled the cages of some supremacists and some other group, and they did it just for shock value.

    Who said anything about interviews?

I'm going off the stuff contained in their albums. Lyrics and shoutouts mostly - you don't get to thank fucking Honor and then claim you have nothing to do with white supremacy.

So if you are going by lyrics, then how come you are not hating on Slayer for the song "Angel of Death"

Don't you think they might be using it for the shock value? How many grindcore and death metal bands have thanked Ed Gein in their "Special Thanks" that doesn't mean they support what he did. They did it for shock value

So let me ask you this question.

Charlie Manson, biggest nutjob ever, of course we know the whole famous Manson family story. How come you don't hate on these bands that support Charlie Manson? Or wear t-shirts with his face on it?

Once again, I like a band because of their music, not necessarily their beliefs. I enjoy Peste Noire, I think they are a great black metal band with a great sound, and obviously they don't support Nazi's, since they have claimed that, but they may use it for shock value, and to think anyone who likes that band is automatically a nazi supporter, or a racist is just stupid. I am none of the 2. Then again, I have had people tell me, that if I listen and enjoy a band that burns churches, and are satanists, I am automatically a satanist, or if I listen to bands that sing about rape, murder, and very vulgar acts, I am automatically a person that has mental issues, and could be dangerious (LOLOLOL) That is just stupid as well. I am just another person that enjoys metal.

I'll download it, don't think they are on this HDD right now. Both albums were very strong iirc.

Realised I had not listened to Mirrorthrone since I moved my music around last. Starting with Carriers of Dust because it's the best. I'm thinking after the Mirrorthrone I'll go with Shape of Despair.

Because you're too fucking retarded to understand context.

Angel of Death is, bluntly, a horrific description of nazi atrocities. It does not come out and praise them or proclaim them as a good thing, which Peste Noire have done in the past.

Why are you throwing insults?? Are you getting that pissed off over a discussion? I haven't insulted you once.

I totally understand context, but I think you are taking what they say in lyrics (which you are basing this all on) out of context. They might not even be supporters, and still talk about it, to its extreme.

A black metal band will go any extreme for some shock value. I think you need to relax a bit. So I guess we can just agree to disagree.
